Founded in 2014 by Andy Payne and Matthew Charles, The Sound Alliance aims to continue a long tradition of specialist sound provision for television. At the cultural heart of British broadcasting, we are entrusted with some of the most important projects from the BBC, including historic state occasions, a wide range of arts programming and, of course, the Proms. Our experience with these sensitive events has helped us establish productive relationships with many broadcasters, independent production companies and arts organisations. Much of this original work has been immensely powerful and, even on the smallest scale, has proven to be greatly rewarding.
Our facilities are centred around the peerless Master Sound Control, a mobile unit originally built by BBC Television Outside Broadcasts and fully refurbished to meet the highest modern technical standards. Combined with a smaller footprint vehicle, flypack facility and our comprehensive collection of specialist microphones, we are able to offer competitive, carefully chosen and discrete solutions for events of all sizes. We are there to advise and assist from planning through to final delivery - taking care of capture, live broadcast, music editing and post-production mixing.
Above all, we are enthused about the performing arts and are dedicated to bringing this passion to audiences at home.
